An opportunity has arisen for interested candidates to join the growing team at APCO Limited as a Security Technician.
THE POSITION
Based in Malta and reporting to the Head of Operations, the selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out technical tasks on Security equipment provided by the company, as well as supporting pre-sales activities.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: installing, configuring, and supporting security equipment, performing routine preventative maintenance and calibration on such equipment, troubleshooting failures using specialised diagnostic tools, analysing device logs, determining cost effective repairs, resolving and closing calls in a timely manner, as well as fault finding and fixing parts.
The Security Technician will also be responsible for assisting the sales team with technical requirements for pre-sales proposals.

THE REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 years experience working on similar equipment or within the fields of electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems. Specialised knowledge on ELV systems and networking is desirable.
The candidate should have knowledge on Microsoft desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office Applications, together with a clean police conduct and valid driving license.
Preferred candidates should be backed up with an MCAST diploma MQF level 4 in Mechanical or Electronics or in similar fields. Holding a Wireman’s License A or License B will be considered an asset.
The candidate must be willing to travel for training purposes and should be customer focused, pro-active, attentive to detail and able to work effectively in a team environment.
