Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Malta is seeking an Executive Director to lead its strategic and operational efforts, build strong community relationships, and drive its fundraising and development initiatives.
Based in Malta and reporting to the RMHC Malta Chairman and the Board of Administrators, the Executive Director will oversee the delivery and growth of RMHC programmes and serve as an ambassador for the charity’s mission.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and motivated leader to further the organisation’s impact and strengthen its presence across the community and donor network.
ABOUT RMHC MALTA
The Ronald McDonald House Charities Malta Chapter supports children and young people through education-focused programmes that promote wellbeing and inclusion. Operating from its purpose-built Learning Centre in Qawra, RMHC offers therapeutic and educational services to children facing poverty, disability, or learning difficulties. The centre works independently and with partner organisations to help young people develop the core skills and confidence needed for adulthood.
RMHC Malta is the local Chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) global network and was created on the initiative of Premier Restaurants in Malta, the operator of McDonald’s locally.
THE REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programme management, stakeholder engagement, and fundraising, along with a genuine passion for social impact. With a degree in management, social sciences, or a related field, they will lead the planning, execution, and growth of RMHC’s programmes, while serving as a visible and trusted ambassador of the charity in the community.
The successful candidate will be fluent in both Maltese and English, possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and demonstrate the ability to inspire trust and support among partners and donors. Previous experience in a similar leadership role, particularly within the nonprofit sector, will be considered an asset.
