MARKET DATA ANALYST
Position purpose:
Based in Riga, Latvia, you will be responsible for design and implementation of procedures for data collection, processing and modelling to deliver actionable business insights, impact analysis, and demand estimates. Leveraging expertise in analytics and data research in the Baltics, you shall uncover trends and patterns to support data driven decision making. We will entrust you with:
Ensuring efficient and reliable data collection and availability
Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
Utilize data from internal and external sources, offering actionable insights for decision making
Looking for patterns and form constructive opinions based on data
Deliver regular reports and analysis, improving operational reporting portfolio
Ad-hoc analysis to uncover trends and patterns
Using BI tools to create reports and dashboards
Support pricing strategy development and propose implementation tactics
Participate in price sensitivity study and competition analysis for menu development and promotional strategies
Contribute to budget and forecast planning, translating analytical findings into strategic recommendations, developing forecasting models
We expect you to have:
Degree in Science (computer science, statistics or mathematics preferred)
Experience with data integration, cleansing and transformation tools, such as R or Python. Excellence in at least one of these
Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerQuery, and MS Power BI
Good knowledge in applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex data clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all organizational levels
Commitment to continuous learning and skill enhancement, interest in industry development
Proficiency in spoken and written English
It will be advantage to have:
Prior experience in analytics or business intelligence, preferably within the retail, hospitality, or quick service restaurant industry.
Proficiency in using querying languages SQL or PostgreSQL
Good knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse architecture
Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools and systems, such as Microstrategy, Tableau, or Qlik
Experience in machine learning field such as regression, classification, clustering, pattern mining, or optimization, using libraries: TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Keras
