General Manager

Premier Restaurants Malta is seeking a General Manager to oversee its McDonald’s operations in Malta and the development, management and overall performance of the company.

Based in Malta and reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager will be responsible for alligning finance, marketing, human resources, and operations teams with the company’s overarching strategic goals, while ensuring profitability.

Premier Restaurants Malta forms part of Premier Capital plc, the developmental licencee for McDonald’s in Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, and Romania. The company operates 194 restaurants in major cities and prime locations, through a team of over 11,000 people. Every year, more than 85 million customers are served at a McDonald’s operated by Premier Capital plc.

THE POSITION

The General Manager will develop and implement the country’s strategic sales and marketing plan, create new business opportunities and enhance the company’s development and market position. They will work closely with the operations team to lead the planning, organization and coordination of all 9 restaurants, ensuring appropriate and robust communication vertically and horizontally. Together with the Human Resources team, they will ensure that a well-trained, motivated, and customer-focused team is in place in each restaurant. This position also requires ensuring that all quality measures are in place in accordance with McDonald’s standards and compliance with national and international quality standards and legislation.

The General Manager will build trust and maintain strong, healthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as key partners.

THE REQUIREMENTS

The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management role and possess strong leadership abilities and business acumen to mentor and enable the growth of the company and the team.
